 TIDE'S OF LUST

The next morning, While I still laid on the rug pressing my phone. Evelyn suddenly stood up from the bed, and she started packing her stuffs together.

I gradually rose to a sitting position on the rug, my eyes fixed intently on her, observing her every move without making a sound.

I know she was pissed at me. But in as much as I didn’t want to talk about the issue, I can’t allow her to leave house in this state of anger.

After watching her for few minutes, I finally summoned the courage to speak to her.

“Why are you suddenly packing your things?......I didn't remember asking you to leave”........I muttered gently.

She swiftly turned her  face towards me, and shot a deadly gaze at me. She rolled her eyes, and hissed loudly, before returning to what she was doing. 

“Evelyn Come on, you shouldn't ignore me. Let’s have a discussion”......I said politely, but she still ignored me. 

I kept trying my best, to get her to talk to me, but to no avail. I got so irritated with her,  and then I lost my cool.

“Why are you even ignoring me? You think you are more infuriated” than I am? You think I feel  more of myself than you do?”..........i yelled angrily.

Evelyn paused with what

she was doing, then she turned towards me and we held each others gaze. 

“You know what Pascal, you are such a stupid, crazy  pervert”.........she retorted, and continued with what she was doing.

“Oh really? Nice one.......now let me ask you, since when did other girls start being an issue between us?.......I mean, you had always urged me to have several other babes, so what changed now?”.........I asked sarcastically.

Evelyn took a deep breath, then she took few steps towards me, and was now standing few inches away from me.

We held each others gaze for few, before she started speaking to me.

“Look Pascal, I have come to realise that I'm deeply in love with you now.....I know It sounds  crazy, but that’s the  truth”......she explained, and then paused, scanning me with her eyes.

I somehow found her confessions very funny, then I let out a chuckle. I wonder if she was under a spell or something.

“You must be kidding right?.......tell me this is a joke”........I mumbled, trying my best to suppress my laughter.

“I'm damn serious Pascal......I thought I could handle it, but I couldn’t. Each time I see you with other girls, and I read your chats and messages with them, it breaks my heart”

“Pascal I can't handle it anymore.......I wanted to hide this, but for how long? I can’t hold my feelings anymore”..........she lamented bitterly, and started sobbing.

I know there are possibilities in this world, but I never thought a day would come when Evelyn of all people will profess her love for me. 

I was amazed and didn’t know where to start from. I had so many questions running through my mind at that moment.

I stood like a statue, watching Evelyn as she cried her eyes out. I contemplated in my heart if I should console her or not.

When I couldn’t take it anymore with her tears, I stood up from the floor, and walked up to her, leading her to the bed.

“Babe calm down, it has not gotten to that. Let’s talk about this like matured people and get it over and done with”........I said gently, as i caressed her back.

She soon stopped wailing, then she disengaged from me and stared into space. I noticed some tears still dripping from her eyes. 

“See Evelyn, you and I know perfectly well that thebre is Nothing serious that can ever exist between us”........I muttered, trying to sound as polite as ever.

Evelyn wanted to interrupt my speech, but I signalled her to let me speak first, then I continued.

“Firstly you have a boyfriend. Secondly, you told me to kill every feeling I had for you, which I did........Do you have an idea how heartbroken I felt, by your response?”

  

“That aside, I already have someone I want to start up a relationship with........Though things are still very unclear between the lady and I, but it is something I would like to give a trial”.......I explained politely.
